With the coordination of Eletronorte, the biggest event in the electricity sector will take place from November 26 to 29, 2023, and announces new features such as the 1st Academic Forum 

Considered the largest seminar in Latin America and the 2nd largest in the world, the National Seminar on Production and Transmission of Electric Energy (SNPTEE) will be held from November 26 to 29, 2023, in Brasília.

The coordination of the SNPTEE has been carried out through a partnership between CIGRE-Brasil with companies of great representation in the national electricity sector, such as Itaipu, CTEEP, Copel, Chesf, Eletrosul, Furnas and Eletronorte, on a rotating basis. In 2023, when it completes its 50th anniversary, Eletronorte will host the event, which will take place in Brasília, the capital of Brazil. Eletronorte has a long history of participating in the SNPTEE, having acted as the coordinating entity for issues VII, XIV, XXII: the first in 1984, the year of the inauguration of the Tucuruí Hydroelectric Plant, the second in 1997, and the most recent in 2013. For 2023, Eletronorte bets on the integration of the Amazon and the Cerrado to hold an event connected to the most innovative trends in the sector. Considered the largest seminar in Latin America and the 2nd largest in the world, the Brazilian National Seminar on Production and Transmission of Electric Energy (SNPTEE) will be held from November 26 to 29, 2023, in Brasília.

The XXVII SNPTEE

According to Saulo Cisneiros, CEO of CIGRE-Brasil, the main intention is to maintain and improve the pioneering initiatives implemented in previous editions, in addition to integrating new spaces for knowledge and integration. “We are talking about the participation of the New Professional Generation (NGP), which will have its 3rd edition, the Women’s Forum, which will have its 4th edition, as well as the CEOs Forum, which will have its 3rd edition. Additionally, at the XXVII SNPTEE, the 1st edition of the Academic Forum will be launched, which will bring together leaders of Universities and National Research Centers to discuss measures to increase the interaction of academia with CIGRE-Brasil and the electricity sector, in particular in the formation of new professionals and in proposing strategic research projects for the electricity sector, he says.

Another highlight of the event is the ExpoSNPTEE, a parallel exhibition to the seminar that brings together the main suppliers and buyers of equipment and services in the Brazilian electricity sector.

According to the director of Operations and Maintenance at Eletronorte, Antonio Augusto Pardauil, the company is determined to make a great SNPTEE, marked by technological innovation, integration, and the permanent challenges of the electricity sector. “It is a pleasure to give Eletronorte’s contribution to the country, in an event like the SNPTEE, which is the biggest event in the electric energy segment in Brazil”, says the director, who assumed the General Coordination of the event that takes place in next year.

The XXVII SNPTEE will have 16 study groups that will address the various topics in the areas of generation, transmission, and distribution of electric energy, contributing significantly to the improvement of the National Interconnected System and the energy market in Brazil and in the world. According to CIGRE-Brasil, the call for papers period begins in October.
